The Gogiro brand is built around small business and being local to them.  We didn’t want a name that was an english word, because this would work against the brand as we expanded internationally.  The name was adopted for our brand.  It had a meaning that reflected automation, and success.

The bank giro transfer was developed to help companies increase their ability to receive payments on the goods and services that they provide. Customers can pay using a giro transfer either through the mail or online. Giro transfers have become a more accepted payment method than checks because they provide security when lost or stolen, and they can be processed more quickly than a standard check.

Gojira – Godzilla

Gojira – the Japanese name for Godzilla. Gojira (ゴジラ?) is a portmanteau of the Japanese words: gorira (ゴリラ?, “gorilla”), and kujira (鯨(クジラ)?, “whale”), which is fitting because in one planning stage, Godzilla was described as “a cross between a gorilla and a whale”,[5] alluding to his size, power and aquatic origin.
